This week, members of the Youth For Tomorrow team spent two days in Richmond attending the Virginia Coalition of Private Providers Association (VCOPPA) Critical Issues Symposium!

As a Platinum Sponsor, YFT was proud to support this important gathering focused on critical issues surrounding legislation, funding and the future of child welfare across Virginia.

The symposium brought together leaders from the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), Department of Social Services (DSS), Virginia State Senate and General Assembly to share insights and discuss ways to strengthen our collective work on behalf of children and families.

We’re also proud to celebrate YFT’s continued leadership within VCOPPA. Dr. Gary Jones previously served as President of the Board, while Carl, Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, currently serves as SEC Chair. We’re excited that a YFT representative has also been invited to serve as Co-Chair of the Residential Special Interest Group (SIG) and join the VCOPPA Board!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate and help advance our common mission of supporting children, families and communities across the Commonwealth. 💙
