Meet Owen, a SJGF Raindancer since 2024!

🏡Who is under his umbrella?
Owen's family includes his mom Laura, dad Dennis, sister Caitlin, and brother Jack. Together, they've weathered storms, celebrated victories, and learned what it means to take life one day at a time.
✨ What makes Owen, Owen?
“Owen is an old soul with a grumpy old man sense of humor trapped in the body of the cutest little boy.”
He's quick-witted, wise beyond his years, and always keeps those around him laughing. But perhaps what stands out most about Owen is his heart.
“He's the hardest worker we know and he loves to help others.”
💌Word that describes Owen: Resilient.
A simple word—but one that says so much.
✨ How does Owen inspire and make his family proud?
Owen's family describes him as the hardest worker they know. And even during some of the hardest moments of his own journey, he never stopped thinking about others.
Just days after brain surgery, his family caught him emptying his wallet into the donation bin at the Ronald McDonald House where they were staying. (photo of this moment included)💛
Why? Because he said he wanted to help the “sick kids.”
Even after everything he's faced, Owen understands something many adults spend a lifetime learning:
“He realizes that even though he's had a tough journey, he's still feels like he is one of the lucky ones.”
He takes life one day at a time. He appreciates the good moments when they come.
And through it all, he continues to show the world exactly who he is—
A boy with a heart of gold and the fight of a warrior. ☂️
