You did it, supporters!!! 🎉

On behalf of the Bristow Alumni Association and the Bristow Historical Society, thank you to the Bristow community and beyond for making this donation match possible.

The Alumni Association matched every dollar donated to the Bristow Historical Society dollar for dollar, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support. Because of your generosity, the final matching check totaled $20,100!!!
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, encouraged, and supported this effort. Your commitment to preserving Bristow history is what keeps projects like this alive.

Thank you all for believing in this tower and helping keep it lit for generations to come. ❤️

What and When:

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. This tournament will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, featuring an expanded format with 48 teams and 104 matches.

Where: In the US, these cities will host competitions- Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle.

Why Do We Care: Amazingly enough, the World Cup is projected to draw around 1.24 million dedicated international visitors to the United States. It is also expected to inject $17.2 billion into the U.S. economy, create 185,000 jobs, and generate $5,000+ per visitor.

BRISTOW sits close enough to Dallas and Kansas City that many of those visitors will take time to tour a bit of Route 66 as they move between venues. The Depot gang is excited to meet some of these sports fans and encourages other local businesses to roll out the welcome mat too!

We would like to take a moment to honor the memory of our volunteer Jewel Carlson. Jewel moved to Bristow several years ago to be near her daughter Tammie Levin and fully embraced our community has her home.

Whether she was helping maintain the wildflowers or decorating her yard to welcome elementary students, Jewel always had a smile on her face and a hug for all.

We will miss you Jewel and we send our prayers and condolences to the entire family.

You made Bristow better!
