“Don’t hate evil more than you love good.”

8 years ago today, I posted a brief story (from FB Memories below) about a touching exchange I witnessed in a mall parking lot in Charlottesville, VA. Tensions were high in the US following back-to-back shootings of young black men by police in Minnesota and New Orleans; And, 2 days earlier, 5 policemen had been ambushed and gunned down by a sniper in Dallas.

Our nation was hurting. I was hurting. But on this day, in a moment of shared humanity, I witnessed a ray of hope. I decided to post about it after reading a similar account in the news. I understood that sharing the GOOD stuff was vitally important, as the ONLY true antedote to fear, division and hate is hope, community and love.

We needed it then. We needed it in the months that followed. And we need it still today.

Hold onto each other, my friends. Hold onto Faith, Hope and Love.

This December, the full Moon will rise around sunset for several nights in a row: December 25, 26, and 27. How perfect for those celebrating Christmastime!

This moon is known as the “The Cold Moon”, also called the “Long Night Moon”. In 2023, the full Moon for December is 100% illuminated on December 26, 7:33 P.M. (EST). To our eyes, the Moon’s disk will appear fully illuminated a couple of days before a full Moon, so start looking on December 24 and 25 towards the east after sunset as it peaks over the horizon.

This is the first full Moon after the winter solstice. The winter solstice Moon takes the highest path along the sky and is above the horizon longer than any Moon—hence, it’s the longest night!

Technically, a full Moon on Christmas happens only once every 19 years or so. This happened in 2015 and wont occur again until 2034. However, a full Moon on December 24 and December 26 will also appear full to the naked eye. Weather-permitting, we’ll enjoy this rare treat over our skies Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after. 🌕💝

Before dying at the age of 40 from stomach cancer, the world-famous designer and author "Crisda Rodríguez" wrote:

1. I had the most expensive car in the world in my garage, but now I have to use a wheelchair.

2. In my house there are all kinds of branded clothes, shoes and valuables, but now my body is wrapped in a small cloth provided by the hospital.

3. got plenty of money in the bank But now I'm not benefiting from that amount.

4. My house was like a castle, but now I'm sleeping on two beds in the hospital.

5. From five star hotel to now spending time in hospital moving from clinic to clinic

6. I’ve given autographs to hundreds of people but this time medical records are my signature.

7. I've been to seven barbers to get my hair done, but now — I don't have a hair on my head.

8. With a private jet, I can fly anywhere, but now I need two assistants to walk to the hospital gate.

9. Although there are many foods, now my diet is two tablets a day and a few drops of salt water at night.

10. This house, this car, this plane, this furniture, this bank, the excessive fame and glory, none of these are useful to me. None of this will relax me. "There is nothing real except death."

At the end of the day the most important thing is health.

Please be happy with how little or much you have while being healthy,have everything,have a plate to eat,a place to sleep... YOU DON'T MISS ANYTHING
