Hey Leaders, Troop Helpers, and Adult Members.

It is time to vote for Bristol Service Units Delegates and Alternate Delegates to GSOFCT. You have until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, to vote for the candidate you think will fulfill these duties. This year, we have two Senior Girl Scouts running to fill these roles.

Lily S. is a high school freshman. She plays two sports and is always willing to jump in and lend a hand in setting up her troop's meeting space, running an activity for younger girls, and advocating for herself and others when it comes to troop decisions about badge work and field trip experiences. She loves to camp and has plans to pursue her Gold Award before she graduates high school.

Jazmyn H. is also a high school freshman. She loves animals and plans to work with them when she is older for her lifelong vocation. She has grown greatly since she was a Daisy and has always done her best to advocate for herself and others. She has interests in drama and reading. Like Lily, she is more than happy to help in setting up her troops meeting space or work with younger girls on an activity or just be their camp buddy so that they feel comfortable and safe while away from home.

Both girls are running for either role, so please pick the girl that you think will be best suited to Delegate or Alternate Delegate for the Bristol Service Unit.

Girl Scouts of Connecticut Inc. Last days to get your Girl Scout Cookies! Girls in troops 66106, 66166, 66437, 66438, 66439, 66440, 66607, 66712 are selling cookies at Walmart to 3 pm. Help them go out with a bang if you are able.

In case you missed it.

Camp An-Se-Ox is holding an Open House on March 24th from 1 pm to 4 pm at 47 Condon Road, Oxford, CT. If you would like to speak with camp staff and tour the camp families are more than welcome to come out and do so.

This summer An-Se-Ox will have bus transportation for Bristol Girl Scouts and surrounding towns. The bus picks up at the Stop & Shop in Forestville at 7:52am and drops off there at 5:08pm depending on traffic. Camp runs 9am to 4pm and snack is provided.

Camp is open to all our girls currently in grades 1 to 8. If your girl is currently a Girl Scout and sells enough cookies to earn a cookie credit the value is doubled when applied toward camp registration fees, and there is financial aid available for those families that have a need for it. Check out the dates and weekly themes below to see if any interest your child.

For our current sixth to 8th graders they may also choose to participate in one of three 2-week sessions to work on their Program Aide award. Two weeks sessions follow the dates above grouping weeks 1 and 2 together, 3 with 4, and Week 5 with Week 6.

Bristol Girl Scouts collected toys for the Bristol Family Resource Centers as part of their Annual Holiday Toy Bingo.

Our Girl Scouts worked with St. Joseph's Church to adopt 3 families in need for Thanksgiving and packed the food into baskets last night to be delivered through the church.
