Organizations and the Public Speak Out to Defend the Frack Ban Sept. 2
Rally outside the DRBC Public Meeting to Declare “Delaware River: Frack Free Forever!”
Washington Crossing, PA – The Delaware River Frack Ban Coalition will hold a press conference outside the DRBC business meeting with community members from the region on Wednesday, September 2 at 11:30 am. The gathering is a message to the political and industrial interests who want to overturn the ban on fracking in the Delaware River Watershed with the declaration: “We will defend the fracking ban from all attackers to ensure the Delaware River is Frack Free Forever!”.
What: Press Conference outside of Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) meeting with community support

When: Wednesday, September 2, 11:30 am – 12 noon
Who: The Delaware River Frack Ban Coalition organizations, including Berks Gas Truth, Catskill Mountainkeeper, Damascus Citizens for Sustainability, Delaware Riverkeeper Network, Environment New Jersey, Food and Water Watch, and Green Amendments for the Generations and community members from the region.
Why: Defending the ban on fracking against all attackers; standing with the DRBC’s ban
NOTE: Some people will be going inside the DRBC meeting for their public comment session to speak in support of DRBC’s fracking ban. The DRBC starts their meeting at 12 noon and then opens up for public comment at 1pm.
