This love story was meant to be from the very beginning. Growing up on the same street, attending Virginia High School together, and meeting officially at the VHS Homecoming dance at the old post office on October 2, 2006 — it was truly love at first sight ✨

Together since 2006 and happily married since 2015, Shaka & LeShanda have built a beautiful life together and are now proud parents to two perfect twin kiddos 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🧡

They were friends first — two kids growing up side by side, walking the halls of Virginia High School, sharing laughs, memories, and life’s moments without realizing something deeper was quietly growing between them. Somewhere along the way, friendship turned into love… it just took a little time to recognize what had been there all along 💫

Today, Corey and Keshia are proud parents to two beautiful girls — Kenzlee, who is thriving in middle school, and Kalanee, who is part of the K3 class at Virginia High School 🧡 Life is busy in the best way, filled with school activities, sports, cheering from the sidelines, and making unforgettable family memories together.

When they’re not supporting their girls, they love traveling and exploring — whether it’s a quick weekend getaway or a big adventure — building a life that’s full, loud, joyful, and centered around family and togetherness ❤️

Meet Bruce Gunning & Lisa Cunningham — a love story built on friendship first ❤️

Bruce and Lisa were best friends all through their Virginia High School years — even double dating before they realized their own story was just beginning 💫 Bruce wrestled while Lisa proudly supported the team as a “matmaid,” and by Bruce’s senior year their friendship turned into something even more special.

From high school sweethearts to college together, their journey continued as they became engaged in 1979 and said “I do” in June of 1982 🧡🖤

Over the years, they’ve lived in several states, raised three wonderful sons, and built a life full of love and adventure — while still calling Bristol home at heart and returning often to visit family and reconnect with their Bearcat roots.

Their story reminds us that sometimes the strongest love begins as the best friendship ❤️

Meet Walker Little & Rachel Locke — a love story that proves some connections are simply meant to find their way back ❤️

Walker and Rachel first met on the VHS swim team, growing especially close during Rachel’s freshman year 🏊‍♀️✨ After losing touch when the season ended, fate stepped in when they both received the same PSAT score and ended up sitting at the same table — instantly reconnecting and picking up right where they left off 💫

From robotics team to scholastic bowl, they found every excuse to spend time together, quickly realizing they were completely smitten with one another.

Now married for two and a half years, they’ve built a beautiful life together — welcoming a precious daughter and currently expecting baby number two 🥰 Though they now live in Kansas City, Missouri for Walker’s career, Bristol will always feel like home, and they love returning to visit family and reconnect with their Bearcat roots.

A decade later, they’re still two kids madly in love — and we absolutely love their story 🧡

Meet Jeff Johnson Jr & Suzanne Wambolt — proof that some love stories are truly meant to come full circle ❤️

Jeff and Suzanne first met the summer before 8th grade while attending Virginia Junior High, and their first date was at the legendary VA/TN football game in 1988 🏈✨ From junior high through high school, their story grew — before life took them on separate paths for many years.

After more than 20 years apart, a simple reconnection turned into something magical. It felt as if no time had passed — like picking up right where they left off. Soulmates finding their way back to each other 💫

They celebrated their love with an unforgettable 80’s-themed wedding on August 27th, honoring the time of their very first date — and today they’re living their happily ever after together in Bristol.

Together they share a beautiful blended family with daughters Emma, Bailey, and Addison — all proud Bearcats — and are excitedly preparing to become grandparents for the very first time to a sweet baby girl 🥰

Jeff and Suzanne remind us that true love doesn’t follow a timeline — sometimes it just waits for the perfect moment ❤️

Their journey began in Miss Russell’s environmental science class, where a high school connection grew into a lifelong partnership ✨

Now married for 8 wonderful years, James and Morgan have built a life full of love, laughter, and family. They are proud parents to two sweet boys — ages 4 and almost 2 months — and spend their days balancing busy careers with making meaningful memories together.

James is a successful businessman, while Morgan serves the community as a certified occupational therapy assistant working in several local nursing facilities — both dedicated to making a difference in their own ways.

When they’re not working, you’ll likely find them traveling, adventuring, and creating unforgettable moments with their growing Bearcat family 🥰

Their story began after a choir event at a friend’s house, where a simple conversation turned into something much more. They started dating shortly after… and the rest, as they say, is history ✨

Today, Jim and Karen call Bristol home and have built a beautiful life together filled with love, laughter, and family. They are proud parents to two grown children and loving grandparents to three wonderful grandchildren.

Whether it’s enjoying date nights when they can sneak away, spending time with family and friends, attending church, or simply relaxing together watching old movies, they continue to cherish every moment side by side. 🥰

Some love stories don’t wait for graduation — they begin with a choice to grow together from the very start ❤️✨

Donald and Jo Ann’s journey began when they were introduced through family in July 1975. By April 8, 1977, they had officially started their forever — and on June 8, 1977, they said “I do,” choosing each other just two months before graduation… not because they had to, but because they wanted to 🧡🖤

Nearly 49 years later, their love story continues to inspire. Together they have built a beautiful legacy — three amazing children, three wonderful “in-loves,” and eight incredible grandchildren who fill their lives with joy 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

Now retired, they cherish life’s simple blessings — traveling, spending time with family, sharing quiet moments, and even enjoying a good nap together ❤️ Their story reminds us that true love is built on choosing each other again and again through every season of life.

Sometimes love starts with a simple introduction… like meeting in the high school cafeteria through friends ❤️✨

Tony and Laura’s journey began back in 1987, and what started as a connection during their Virginia High School years has grown into an incredible story of love, commitment, and shared life. Together for 39 years and soon celebrating 35 years of marriage, their story is one built on loyalty, resilience, and choosing each other every single day 🧡🖤

Their beautiful family now includes one son and three cherished grandchildren who continue their legacy of love 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨. Tony proudly served his country for 10 years in the Army, including a tour in Iraq from 2004–2005 🇺🇸 — and today, both Tony and Laura dedicate their time to serving others through the VFW and VFW Auxiliary.

From cafeteria beginnings to a lifetime of service and family, their story is a reminder that true love only grows stronger with time — and they wouldn’t change a thing ❤️

Sometimes love begins in the classroom… and grows into a lifetime together ❤️✨

Eddie and Paula’s story started in Mr. White’s English class back in February 1985 — proving that some of the best love stories begin in the most ordinary moments. By September 23, 1989, they officially began their lifelong journey together, building a life rooted in faith, family, and commitment 🧡🖤

Today, they are proud parents to two daughters and loving grandparents to four grandbabies who keep life busy and full of joy 🏀✨. Eddie works at Eastman and serves as a bivocational pastor at Walker Mountain Baptist Church, while Paula cares for others as a school nurse with Elizabethton City Schools — both dedicating their lives to serving their community.

Whether cheering on their grandkids at sporting events or simply enjoying time with family, their story reminds us that love grows strongest when shared through every season of life ❤️
