Another successful Deer Camp with our friends Whitetails Unlimited - New England! Saturday was a fun night full of great food, exciting auctions, amazing prizes, and a room full of enthusiastic sportsmen. Events like Deer Camp matter because they allow Whitetails Unlimited to continue giving back to Connecticut for youth education, wildlife habitat enhancement, and the preservation of hunting and shooting sports traditions!

A great opportunity to learn more about our favorite food!

Come learn about our neighbors, White-tailed Deer, with a guest-led presentation at Goodwin Conservation Education Center!

Join Paul Colburn, a graduate of the Connecticut Master Wildlife Conservationist Program and a certified Master Wildlife Conservationist, as he shares with us the history of White-tailed Deer in Connecticut and an overview of White-tailed Deer habitat, diet, behavior, and reproduction. Paul will also provide practical recommendations for optimum coexistence with our White-tailed Deer population. Free, and open to all ages though geared to ages 12 and up.

Great job to all those who continued hunting in January! Your kindness and consideration allowed us to start off the New Year by doing what we love, donating venison. This January we donated 229lbs of meat in towns such as Plainfield, Moosup, East Hampton, and Plymouth.

This was our best January since we began the program in 2023 so thank you for trusting us with your harvests!

Are you still hunting zones 11 and 12? Hunt To Feed is still accepting deer donations all January long!

One deer can provide up to 160 meals in the fight against food insecurity. Let’s keep the season of giving going! 🦌

The 2025 results are in! First off, we are still accepting deer donations through January for folks continuing to hunt zones 11 & 12.

In 2025, we set a goal of donating 1,200lbs of venison this season, and with the overwhelming support of the hunting community, we surpassed it by donating 1,461lbs! With 1,461lbs donated, hunters helped serve 5,844 protein-rich meals to folks struggling with hunger and food insecurity throughout Connecticut.

Together, we were able to help folks in and around towns East Hampton, Moosup, Plainfield, West Haven, Orange, Plymouth, Canterbury, and Granby!

Thank you to everybody who supported our mission and helped make the community a better place. We truly couldn't do it without you!

Thank you to everybody who donated in November! We are now up to 1,193lbs of venison donated year to date! And just 7lbs away from our 2025 goal of 1,200lbs.
