Hope High School Music Parents Association exists to enhance the music education of students at MHHS by providing volunteers and raising funds to support and maintain a quality music program. The arts have always served as a means for people to come together to express, to learn, and to be entertained, and our school music programs continue to do this today. While the past few years have taken a t
oll on all of our students, faculty and families, our music groups provided a safe outlet for creativity and exploration, practice and performance. Our parent-led organization is here to add the valuable resources of time and money to support these essential school programs and to provide much needed funding for ever-growing expenses for the exciting trips that our teachers lead. While we welcome your time and and your talents in this organization, either as a member or a volunteer, funding always remains our top priority. With this in mind, we have two major focus areas for the 2023-2024 school year. First, we are looking forward to providing our Seniors a day trip to NYC to see the city and take in a show. This class in particular felt the sting of Covid-19 as shutdowns impacted not only the travel, but many of their performances as well. We're hoping to quickly raise funds to offset the cost of this trip. Our second focus area is to prepare for the famous Disney trip, scheduled for April 11-15, 2024. This trip has always been the highlight of the year for the students and, sadly, has been canceled for the last two years. This year, we're expecting the trip to cost approximately $2000 per student - all inclusive. Any funds we raise will offset these costs and provide for families who are unable to afford the entire amount. We will be holding a series of fundraisers throughout the course of the year and will provide information both on social media and at the school. With that in mind, research from other such programs have found that the most effective way to raise these funds is to simply ask. Whatever you can contribute now, or on a recurring basis, will be so appreciated by our students and faculty.
