Productions for Change was proud to be on site at a special Feed the Need Northeast New Year’s event held at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury.

With an original goal of 2,026 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, volunteers didn’t just meet the goal—they blew past it, assembling over 2,700 PB&J sandwiches to help fight hunger in our community.

Huge thanks to Feed the Need Northeast, every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made this event happen. This is what community looks like when people roll up their sleeves and get to work.

Grateful to document it. Grateful to be part of it.

Productions for Change was honored to be there on Saturday as the Knights of Columbus Council 9 stepped up once again for our community.

This incredible team distributed over 200 winter coats to local children and to our homeless brothers and sisters—making sure warmth and dignity reach the people who need it most.

They didn’t stop there.
The council also collected 61 turkeys to support Mother Teresa’s Food Pantry, helping provide full Thanksgiving meals for families who would otherwise go without.

These are the kind of moments that remind us what real compassion looks like in action.

As part of our Impact strategy, we are proud to invest in the RIBA Aspira Career Academy ESL Program.
The program provides ESL to residents of Waterbury’s South End. ESL and ESL for the workplace is taught and then graduates can then move into the CNA and Childcare training programs to skill up and increase their financial stability. Nearly 100 individuals have taken the ESL training this year. UNITED IS THE WAY!

Early this morning, Productions for Change had the privilege of filming Jim Beland, founder of Feed the Need Northeast, during his interview on The Steve Parker Show on WTIC.

Jim and his volunteers are out there every week making thousands of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and getting them directly into the hands of people who need them most across the Northeast. It’s simple, it’s grassroots, and it’s making a real impact.

At Productions for Change, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit mission is to help organizations like Feed the Need tell their stories and shine a light on the good happening in our communities.
