We've been working tirelessly over the past year with our partners at the Global Snakebite Initiative and several national ministries of health to get envenoming on the global health agenda. Today, we're thrilled to announce that this hard work has paid off! Over the weekend, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it has adopted snakebite envenoming as a 'category A' neglected tropical disease (NTD)—the highest possible ranking for an NTD. This increased status allows for the development and implementation of a long-overdue global strategy to control, eliminate and eradicate snakebite envenoming by the WHO’s Department of Control of NTDs and WHO member states. We're very pleased and applaud the WHO for making this historic decision. Here's our full response: http://bit.ly/2stfeDU

Honored to produce this short film for the Global Snakebite Initiative and Health Action International, which was screened at the World Health Organization this week. This is small piece of a full-length documentary which has completed filming and will be released in Fall 2016. We are pleased to do our part in giving a voice to the millions of voiceless snakebite victims across the tropics.
