Good evening.

My name is Ashlyn Slayton and I am the reporter for the Jubilee Patriots 4-H Club. As you may have heard we lost our wonderful 4-H leader and longtime 4-H and Community volunteer Bob Forney in January.

As a club, we have created a scholarship in his memory that focuses on community service and volunteerism. Mr. Forney was a dedicated 4-H volunteer serving for many years as the Poultry Superintendent and an Auction Committee Member at the 4-H Fair. He was also a volunteer fireman in his community.

The Jubilee Patriots 4-H Club would be very grateful for your partnership, support, and any donation you feel moved to offer in memory of Bob Forney. Any gift would be greatly appreciated. Information on the scholarship and how to donate are listed on the attached flyer.

This scholarship will be awarded to a young person who actively volunteers in their community. It will be available to any 4-H or FFA member (High School Junior, Senior, or College Freshman) that attends a Peoria County school or is enrolled in a Peoria County 4-H Club. The scholarship will be awarded during the Peoria County 4-H Fair at Expo Gardens in July.
