Neurodiversity doesn’t have a single “look.” In adults, it often shows up in ways people don’t expect:

• Strong routines or need for predictability
• Sensory sensitivities (noise, lights, textures)
• Deep focus on interests
• Social fatigue or masking to fit in
• Difficulty with executive functioning (planning, organizing, transitions)

These traits aren’t flaws — they’re part of a valid neurotype.
When we understand them, we create more supportive workplaces, homes, and communities.

Neurodiversity is lifelong — yet most conversations focusonly on children.

For neurodiverse adults, support looks different: it’s about independence, community, employment, housing, and meaningful connection.

Many adults don’t receive a diagnosis until later in life, which can finally bring clarity to years of feeling “different.”

Understanding adult neurodiversity helps us build communities where everyone can thrive.
