Today we remember and celebrate the life of a very special woman who spent many years volunteering as the “Craft Lady” at Midwest Bible Camp. ❤️

Year after year, she shared her creativity, time, and love with countless campers, helping make their camp experience special and memorable. Her crafts were more than activities — they were a way of bringing joy, encouragement, and a little piece of herself to every child she served.

Her faithful years of volunteering are a beautiful part of her legacy. She will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into others — and the memories she helped create — will live on in the hearts of so many.

Thank you for a life of service, kindness, and love. Rest peacefully. 💕🕊️

Unfortunately our beloved camp has succumbed to some storm damage. We could really use some help cleaning up after the storm. If anyone is available to lend a hand with debris and cleanup, we’d truly appreciate it! Thank you so much for your support. 🙏💙 Thank God everyone is ok !!

Meet the board Monday! Meet Doug Kruse!!
Where do you live? I live in Johnston, a suburb on the north side of Des Moines. I worship with Hickman Rd Church of Christ.
Any children, grandchildren, or pets? My wife Jesi and I have beautiful children; Lily (19), McCartney (16), Noelle (11), and Oscar (9).
If you won $10,000 and could travel anywhere, where would you travel to? My goal is to travel to Europe with Jesi when Oscar graduates. We will visit the British Isles, with emphasis on Scotland and Ireland. We would also visit the Bavarian Alps in Southern Germany and Austria.
What did you want to be when you were 10? When I was 10, I wanted to be a firefighter. I grew up an Army brat and had thoughts of joining the Army at a very young age. I am now a retired Army veteran of 30+ years, so my dream has come true!
Favorite Bible verse. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 63. These 11 verses speak truth into God comforting and protecting me through His awesome power; that His love is better than life and my soul is at peace when I remember He is in control of everything.
