Southwestern Pack A Sack

Southwestern Pack A Sack Southwestern Pack-A-Sack is an organization that helps supply food to children within the Southwestern CUSD #9.

We are a group of volunteers trying to reduce the number of hungry children within the Southwestern CUSD #9. We are able to make this program possible by the many volunteers and donations.

Happy Easter! We’ll be packing bags again on Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 6:30. Our plan is to pack enough bags for the rest of the school year! We hope to see you there!

It’s that time again! We’ll be packing bags of food on Tuesday, March 3, at 6:30 at St. John’s UCC in Brighton for the Southwestern Pack-A-Sack program. As always, we appreciate all of the volunteers who join us!

Once again, we packed more than enough bags last month so we won’t be packing bags on the first Tuesday like we normally do. Thank you to our community of helpers! We’ll let you know when we’ll be packing bags again.

Happy New Year! We wanted to let everyone know that our next packing bags of food day will be on January 6, 2026, at 6:30 at St. John’s UCC in Brighton. We also want to thank our Southwestern community for all of the help we have received during the years we have sponsored this program. We do appreciate your support, and I’m guessing that the families who receive this assistance do, too!

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! Thought all our volunteers might like to know that we will not be packing bags for the Southwestern Pack-a-Sack program in December, since we packed enough for two months earlier in November. Again, we truly appreciate all of the help and support we have received to allow us to continue serving Southwestern students.

It’s that time of the month again! Time to let our volunteer helpers know that we will be packing bags for the Southwestern Pack-a-Sack program on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:30 at St. John’s UCC in Brighton. And thank you all for the help and donations you have provided over the years!

Surprise! We packed so many bags of food at the end of August, we don’t need to pack bags in October! Most likely, our next packing day will be November 4 at 6:30 in the basement at St. John’s UCC in Brighton. Thank you all for your help in the past!

Surprise! School’s about to start already! Once again, where did the summer go? But school starting means it’s time to think about packing food bags for students who need them. We have a special group (members of our congregation) planning to pack bags for August and September, so our first public invited packing night will be on October 7, at 6:30 in the basement of St. John’s UCC in Brighton. And many thanks for all of the help that has been provided since we started this project a number of years ago!
