From Champaign, Illinois and now celebrating their 22nd year as a touring band, THE BOAT DRUNKS are coming THIS SUNDAY. 2-5pm They have performed from coast to coast with nearly every member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Re**er Band and have opened shows for Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys and Little Feat among many others! Tracy M. Bogard, 56, died at 7:16 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2023 at her home in Godfrey. Born August 17, 1966 in Alton, she was the daughter of Ellen (Bose) Bogard of Godfrey and the late Stephen T. Bogard. Tracy was a certified athletic trainer in both Illinois and Missouri. She worked as a certified trainer for Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL and was the head athletic trainer at Barrington High School. She was a driver for First Student Bus Company in Edwardsville and was also a contracted employee for Procter and Gamble. Tracy was a member of the Godfrey First United Methodist Church and also the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter JZ. Along with her mother, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Jennifer Bogard of Godfrey, niece and nephews, Adam Bogard, Sarah Bogard, and Logan Bogard, two great nephews, Bentley and Louis Bogard. A memorial visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Godfrey First United Methodist Church. Pastor Jay Hanscom will officiate. Memorials may be made to HealingALS.org or P.E.O. International. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements. Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com

Hello All. I tried emailing the below to the group earlier. I have our 6th Annual Toy Drive up and somewhat going. Here are some other ideas.

hey Everyone,

I know a lot of clubs are struggling with what to do since our States are sort of locked down and we can't get together and be merry for the Holidays.....but there are still ways to do great things for your communities. If you are looking for examples that you can steal and share....try some of these:

Coat Drive! no touch or in person drop offs and deliver to a shelter or Salvation Army (track those points!)

Help needy kids...for free! If you write a letter to Santa this week via the web site below, Macy's will donate 2 dollars to the Make a Wish Foundation! It's simple, it's free, and it is a great cause!

Adopt families at local hospitals or communities for the holidays! Many of them have trees with needy families and a wish list....all you have to do is take the card and make it happen!

Food Drive! Again.....no touch or contact drop off OR collect cash! Every $1 donated can buy them $8 worth of food (Northern Illinois Food Bank!)

We are also doing a Book/CD/DVD Drive for a local charity. Clean your closets and shelves and give them to someone that needs it.

These are being spread out to not be overwhelming and as always, members can participate as much or as little as they want...but we are giving them opportunities and options! Take care of your Parrothead phamily and your own phamily, and then let's make a difference in the lives of other people in need. Who knows...maybe there's a Parrothead out there that needs a helping hand, and may join the phlock! Happy December Parrotheads!
