Have something powerful to share with young people?

The 2026 Image Summit is looking for dynamic workshop presenters who are ready to inspire, challenge, and equip the next generation of leaders!

Each year, the Image Summit brings together hundreds of young people from across Colorado to build leadership skills, explore issues that matter to them, and discover new ways to use their voices to make a difference.

BYC knows firsthand how powerful it can be when young people are given opportunities to learn, connect, lead, and be heard — and we’d love to see some incredible voices from our community be part of this year’s Summit.

🎤 Workshop proposals are now being accepted!
📅 Image Summit: November 3–4, 2026
⏰ Proposal deadline: September 8, 2026

Do you have a skill, story, experience, or perspective that could plant a seed in a young leader? Consider submitting a proposal — or share this with someone who should!

Tonight was a special evening as we welcomed new members to both the Brighton Youth Commission and Brighton IMPACT!

These young people aren't just joining programs—they're stepping into opportunities to serve their community, grow as leaders, build meaningful relationships, and discover the impact their voices can have.

Leadership doesn't begin when you're an adult. It begins the moment you choose to listen, show up, take initiative, and care about making your community better.

Congratulations to our newest members! We can't wait to see the ideas you'll share, the connections you'll build, and the difference you'll make in Brighton.

Thank you to City Council, our families, and everyone who continues to invest in the potential of Brighton's young people. The future of our community is bright because of leaders like these.

SPEAK Week may be coming to a close, but the message behind it does not end here. 💛

Thank you to every student, educator, volunteer, sponsor, family member, and community partner who helped make this year’s SPEAK Week possible. Your support helped create meaningful conversations, powerful moments of connection, and reminders to people that they are not alone.

Together, we continue the important work of breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and creating communities where it is safe to speak, safe to feel, and safe to ask for help.

As SPEAK Week ends, we encourage everyone to carry its mission forward:
Be kind.
Check in on one another.
Lead with empathy.
Speak up.
And continue creating spaces where mental health conversations are welcomed—not avoided.
Kindness costs nothing, but it can mean everything.
Thank you for helping us make year 15 of SPEAK Week so impactful.

The conversation continues because of you. 💛

Happy SPEAK Week from the Brighton Youth Commission!

Today marks the beginning of SPEAK Week—a youth-led initiative dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging conversations around mental health.

This week, we recognize that mental health impacts all of us—whether personally, through someone we love, or within our broader community. We honor those who are navigating mental health challenges, those supporting others through difficult times, and those we have lost.

SPEAK Week is a reminder that no one should struggle in silence. Your story matters. Your voice matters. You matter.

Together, let’s continue building a community where it is safe to speak up, ask for help, and support one another.

💙 Be kind.
💙 Check in on your people.
💙 Keep the conversation going.
