We provided new hoes for the adults in the village, a small but meaningful way to support their daily work and honour the dignity of their labour.

There are four amazing ladies in Colorado who lovingly sew dresses for the girls in our villages in Uganda and Rwanda.
Apart from their school uniforms, these are often the only dresses our girls own

For many of our little ones, this is the first time they receive something brand-new, made just for them and the joy it brings is indescribable.

We are deeply grateful for hearts that give, hands that serve, and people who choose to bless children they may never meet.

Meet Alphoncine

This young lady grew up in rural Rwanda in abject poverty as her family had been for generations. No one in her village had ever been to school, no one had ever graduated high school.

OBM made the way for her and the other children in her village to start

It was very hard for her at first but she eventually began making progress.
It was very hard for her at first but she eventually began making progress.
She was the first child from her village to ever go to high school.

We sent her to a boarding school where for the first time in her life she ….
Slept in a real bed, Ate with fork and spoon, Used a flush toilet, Had running water for bathing and Electricity for light at night.

Alphoncine struggled academically but she refused to give up. She eventually graduated and did well enough to be admitted into University where she is studying Electronic Engineering- can you imagine, from illiterate abject poverty all the way to University, that’s transformation !!!!

●We call her our “History Maker”.

First person in her family to ever graduate High School, first person in her entire village to go to University….

Tomorrow you can help us continue to engage in this life transforming work and make more History Makers. Help us continue to break generational poverty by seeing children’s lives in rural Africa transformed.

Joram graduated from Uganda Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering last year 2024.

Since then, he’s been using his skills to make a difference, serving his community and building a brighter future for himself and others.

God continues to amaze us through the transformation of these young lives. We are honoured to be part of their journeys and grateful to all our sponsors who make stories like Joram’s possible.

✈️ On the way to Africa! 🌍 Heading out for a two-week visit to Uganda and Rwanda — places and people that have captured my heart for nearly two decades.

Every trip feels like a homecoming … purpose, compassion, connection … and a whole lot of travel miles 😅.

🎉 Join us in wishing Patrick Lubanga lovingly known as Daddy Patrick — a very happy birthday!

He is one of the pillars of Olive Branch Ministries and a big part of why this mission still stands strong today.

A man with a servant’s heart, Daddy Patrick carries God’s love wherever he goes. Fun fact? He will stop just about anyone on the road to tell them about the goodness of the Lord — and always leaves them encouraged.

He is not only a mentor, but also a father figure to our children. He’s walked with us across Uganda, Rwanda, and even to the USA — always lifting others, always smiling, always pointing to Jesus.

We are blessed to have him in our OBM family.
