The numbers tell an important story, but behind every number is a Veteran whose experiences cannot be reduced to a statistic.

Mental health, substance use, housing stability and access to care are deeply connected. Addressing one need can often mean recognizing the others and making sure Veterans have somewhere to turn for continued support. That is why BrightonOne is committed to being a hub of resources for Veterans and their families.

From healthcare and housing to counseling services, weekly AA meetings, recovery resources and community support, our work is centered on caring for the whole person. These statistics remind us why that work matters and why connection to the right resources can be so important.

September is National Recovery Month, an opportunity to celebrate recovery, recognize the strength it takes to pursue it, and highlight the importance of communities that provide support along the way.

At BrightonOne, our commitment to Veterans and their families is rooted in caring for the full person. We know that well-being can extend beyond any single service. It can mean access to quality healthcare, a safe and stable place to call home, meaningful connection, and a community that provides hope.

As part of that commitment, BrightonOne provides space for weekly AA meetings on our campus, creating an accessible place for individuals to come together in fellowship and support.

Recovery looks different for everyone, but no one should have to navigate it without community. During National Recovery Month and throughout the year, BrightonOne remains committed to creating a place where healing, connection, and brighter tomorrows are possible.

At BrightonOne, we know that a home is about more than having a place to live. It can also provide the stability and connection that make it easier to take the next step forward.

That is why the BrightonOne campus serves as a hub of resources for Veterans and their families. From housing and healthcare to counseling services, weekly AA meetings, community programs and other forms of support, our goal is to help connect people with resources that care for the whole person.

It is all part of our belief that the challenges people face are often connected, and the support available to them should be too.
More than a home. A hub of resources. A community of hope.

September is Su***de Prevention Month.

For BrightonOne, this month reinforces an important part of our mission: ensuring Veterans and their families have access to the care, resources, stability, and community they need to thrive.
Su***de prevention extends beyond moments of crisis. It includes strengthening connections, reducing barriers to care, recognizing when someone may need support, and making sure Veterans know they do not have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Throughout September, BrightonOne is proud to join the nationwide effort to increase awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and strengthen support for those who have served our country.

No one has to face a crisis alone. If you or someone you know needs support, call the Military/Veterans Crisis Line at 988 and press 1 to connect with a trained crisis responder 24/7 at no cost. You can also text 838255 or chat online at MilitaryCrisisLine.net. If there is an immediate danger or emergency, call 911.

Three-peat! 🏆

For the third consecutive year, our softball team just made history by winning the league championship, making them the first team in league history to accomplish this feat.

Here's our championship team alongside Derrick Hassell and Jack Burlingame — two people who started this league 39 years ago and are still out there taking the field today.

That community is what BrightonOne is all about. Unstoppable teamwork. Real commitment. People who show up for each other — year after year after year.

Huge congrats to our champions! 🎉

Happy !

At BrightonOne, we recognize the vital role dogs play in supporting veterans through service, companionship, and healing presence. Whether serving as military working dogs, therapy animals, or trusted companions, they make a lasting difference in the lives of those who have served our country.

Today we celebrate them all.

Today on our BrightonOne campus, the Veronica B Smith Multi Services Senior Center community gathered for their annual butterfly release memorial service, a meaningful tradition dedicated to remembering and honoring loved ones we have lost over the past year. Together, we shared memories, reflections, and moments of quiet connection before releasing butterflies in their honor. Each butterfly served as a beautiful reminder that love, memories, and legacies continue to live on. This year, we were especially honored to recognize and remember the Veterans from the BrightonOne campus who have passed. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day of remembrance, healing, and community.

Some of the most important moments in an organization's history happen because people choose to stand up for what matters.

The story behind this milestone is a powerful reminder that BrightonOne exists today because of a community that believed Veterans deserved continued access to care and support. That same spirit continues to shape who we are as we bring together Healthcare, Housing, and Hope on one campus.

Our name may have evolved, but our purpose remains rooted in service.
