Our collective efforts go towards making sure no family has to go without food or drinking water. We prepare communities to be self-sustaining so that, moving into the future, they can be independent and prosperous. UnCommon Farms Foundation uses agriculture as a vehicle to positively change the lives of families and communities around the world. By applying our farming expertise, we ensure everyo
ne we help has access to nutritional food, immediate relief after disasters and the tools they need to be self-reliant through our three programs: CARE, HOPE and SEED. We are thrilled to say that 100% of your donations go directly back to those in need. Through 2022, we proudly boast that we have touched over 471,000 people worldwide and awarded $565,000. CARE is UnCommon Farms Foundation’s disaster fund. It is readily available and easily deployable so that relief can be quickly provided to those suffering from sudden catastrophes. UnCommon Farms Foundation has “family” in our name for a reason: during tough times, family can be counted on to provide CARE. We extend this philosophy to all families and communities that are suffering from catastrophic events, from natural disasters to sudden illnesses. CARE can take on different forms depending on what is needed: delivering food and supplies to those suffering after disasters, physical efforts to complete the harvest for farmers who have fallen ill, or education funds for children after the untimely death of a parent. HOPE: The bare essentials for survival must be met before any other issues can be faced. The starving person’s primary focus is, of necessity, feeding his or her family. We help people struggling with such critical needs through HOPE. We view this as just a first step in a plan to creating self-sustainable communities through education, training and the necessary tools to meet their future needs. UnCommon Farms Foundation works with local food banks and other organizations, such as the Arkansas Rice Depot, Fit-2-Serve and the Canadian Grains Food Bank, to meet the immediate needs of the hungry in the United States and abroad. Additionally, UnCommon Farms Foundation works with a local FCCLA chapter to provide monthly meals to the homeless in their community. SEED: We believe that investments in education are investments into the future. Through SEED, we provide scholarship and internship opportunities for students pursuing a career in agriculture, as well as provide training and tools for communities to use agriculture to become self-sustaining. Educating our youth about agriculture’s impacts is vital for the production of a safe and sustainable food supply. We encourage youth to pursue a career in agriculture, so that the farmers of the future are fully equipped to knowledgably and efficiently grow food for communities around the world. Currently, we offer three annual scholarships to students working towards a degree or skill in agriculture. In addition, we are piloting an internship program to provide opportunities for students to get hands-on experiences in the agriculture industry.
