International Overdose Awareness Day | August 31

Today, we remember.

We remember the lives lost too soon. The sons and daughters. The mothers and fathers. The brothers, sisters, spouses, friends and loved ones whose absence is felt every single day.

We also remember that behind every statistic is a person. A life. A story. Someone who was loved.

At Fresh Start, we have the privilege of witnessing another side of this story, too. We see people choose recovery. We see lives restored, families reunited, hope returned and futures rewritten.

That is why we keep showing up.

For the ones we have lost.
For the families who carry their memory.
For the ones still struggling.
And for every person fighting for another day of recovery.

Today, we honor those who are no longer here by continuing to fight for those who are.

There is hope.

This Easter, we celebrate the hope, renewal, and new life found in the resurrection of Jesus. What once felt like an ending became the greatest beginning, reminding us that light always overcomes darkness and love never fails.

At Fresh Start, we are grateful to serve with that same hope, believing in restoration, purpose, and the power of faith to transform lives.
