We are back! Sign up now! We are now part of Tipton County 4-H. Anyone in 4th thru 12th grade who has a horse and would like be a part a very active group, sign up now! We will be starting as soon as we can in March. We will be working hard getting ready for the western regional show in Martin as well as working towards drill performances for the summer. Come on out with your horse and have some fun! Don’t worry if you don’t have a “show” horse. This group is about bringing out the best in you and your horse. No experience necessary. We will also be doing other fun things like trail riding, camp outs, vaulting and much more. For more info, just give me a call!

There will be a Mounted Drill Team clinic Saturday June 16, 2012 at Coyote Run. It will be given by Karen Smith. It is for all ages and teams or anyone interested in starting up a team. Come and learn the A B C's of drill team riding! It will be from 10:00 am- 5:00pm. The cost is $20.00 for participants and $10.00 for auditors (just watchers). You must provide your own horse. For questions or to reserve a spot, please call 931-445-5211.

We are opening up the drill team this summer to anyone ages 9-17 that can walk/trot/canter and stop off-rail with good control of their horse. You need not be in 4-H. We will learn an opening drill and a performance drill to perform at the shows at Dacus or wherever. You need to have your own transportation for your horse and attend weekly practices this summer starting in June at Dacus. Hope to hear from you, soon!!

I'm so proud of all of you! You all did GREAT at the Horse Judging! Special congrats to the junior team for coming in 7th and the junior- high team for coming in 2nd overall! WOOHOO! Also, Congrats to our two members who ranked in the top ten as individuals- Autumn and Tyler- you girls ROCK! I thought everyone did a great job! See you all Sunday- let's get to work on that Martin Show!
