⚽ Opening Day Is Tomorrow!
Opening Day is tomorrow, Saturday, September 19! We’re excited to have you with us and kick off the fall season.
🌧️ Weather Update
Because of today’s rain, the city is evaluating whether the fields will be playable tomorrow. Opening Day is still scheduled as planned unless we announce otherwise.
If the city closes the fields, all games and Kickstart sessions will be postponed and rescheduled. We’ll share an update by email and Facebook as soon as we receive a decision, so please check for updates before leaving tomorrow.

Please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled start time so players have time to check in and warm up. Teams should be ready for check-in about five minutes before kickoff. When a game starts late, that time usually comes out of the kids’ playing time.
🚧 Getting to the Complex During Construction
The normal entrance from 1200 West is closed.
• Coming from 1200 West: Turn east onto 400 South, then turn south onto 1150 West.
• Coming from 400 South: Turn south onto 1150 West.
Follow 1150 West to the access road and continue east into the Sports Complex.

🎒 What Players Need
• Plenty of water
• Shin guards, which are required
• Cleats are recommended, but athletic shoes are allowed
• Their reversible jersey
• A light jacket or hoodie if needed
The home team is listed first on the schedule and wears red. The away team wears blue.
🏟️ Bowery and Equipment Pickup
The Bowery will serve as our game-day hub, with printed schedules, basic first-aid supplies, and backup water for players who forget to bring some.
Thank you to Niagara Bottling for donating the water and supporting our region and players!
Equipment pickup will run from 8:00 to 10:00 AM at the Bowery for anyone who already purchased equipment or still needs something. Kickstart shirts will also be available for players who still need to pick theirs up.
Player equipment is sold at our cost:
• Youth jerseys: $20
• Adult jerseys: $22.50
• Shin guards: $9
• Soccer socks: $5
We accept cash, check, or Venmo. Some donated cleats will also be available for families who need them.
📝 Opening Day Reminders
• Please have players arrive without jewelry. Referees will inspect player equipment and have final authority over what is safe and permitted.
• Spectators, chairs, and belongings must remain at least six feet behind the touchline.
• If you bring a pet, please keep it leashed, clean up after it, and keep it off the playing fields and away from the sidelines.
• Alcohol, to***co products, va**ng products, controlled substances, and weapons are not permitted at AYSO activities.
• Please drive slowly through the parking areas and watch for children.
• Please pick up all trash, water bottles, and equipment before leaving.
🧑⚖️ Support Our Referees and Volunteers
Our referees and other volunteers include both youth and adults who are giving their time so our players can participate. Please treat all of them with patience, encouragement, and respect. We need them, and games cannot be played without them.
Referee decisions stand. Criticism, yelling, abusive language, or other negative behavior toward referees, coaches, players, or volunteers is not acceptable.
If you have a question or concern about a call, please do not approach or argue with the referee. Bring it to your coach after the game. Coaches can contact Region 138 leadership if further follow-up is needed.
Opening Day takes a lot of hands. If you can help with setup, directing families, game-day support, or cleanup, please check in at the Bowery.
