"HOW TEN COMPUTERS OPENED A WORLD OF POSSIBILITY AT KASAMA CENTRAL DAY SECONDARY SCHOOL"

Kasama Central Day Secondary School had long carried a quiet longing. Classrooms hummed with eager voices, chalk dusted the air, and young minds asked questions that reached far beyond the school walls.
But for years there was one thing missing: the hum of a computer, the glow of a screen, the practical, hands-on chance to learn the digital skills that the world now expects.

Before the donation, learners who wanted to experience information and communication technology had to walk to the neighboring Kasama College of Education. Children crossed busy roads and made that trip daily, braving dangers and losing precious learning time. For many students, that journey stood between curiosity and opportunity.

Then, a bright answer arrived. The Zambia Scholarship Fund led by Peggy and the warm-hearted Audrey and a team committed to education donated ten computers to Kasama Central Day Secondary School. When the delivery arrived, teachers, parents, and students gathered with a mixture of disbelief and deep joy. The computers were more than machines: they were gateways. They were microscopes for exploration, studios for creativity, and bridges to future careers.

The change was immediate and heartening. Where once children waited their turn to cross the road and borrow someone else’s computer, they now stepped into their own classroom and opened their own screens. Lessons took on new life: learners practiced typing and coding, researched global topics, created presentations, and developed digital confidence. Teachers found new ways to bring lessons to life. Students who had been shy about their futures began to see possibilities careers in engineering, design, business, and science suddenly within reach.

Beyond convenience and safety, the donation brought dignity and equality. Having computers onsite means every pupil, regardless of economic background or family circumstance, can access the same tools during school hours. The need to travel long distances is gone; time once spent commuting is now learning time. The school community witnessed not only improved ICT skills but also stronger engagement, higher morale, and a renewed sense of pride in their classrooms.

This was not just a one-off act of giving. Audrey and the Zambia Scholarship Fund stood with Kasama Central Day Secondary School as partners in progress. Their generosity sends a powerful message: that investing in technology for schools is investing in a generation. The ten computers represent thousands of future opportunities projects completed, careers launched, and lives changed.

Thank you Zambia scholarship Fund. Your kindness has made the school safer, learning richer, and futures brighter. Kasama Central’s learners will no longer need to cross roads to reach knowledge; instead, they will cross thresholds into a world of possibility, empowered by the tools you so generously provided.

This story is a reminder of the profound impact one thoughtful act can have. Ten computers have become ten doorways and through them walk countless dreams.

Ndkala primary has been missing a roof for over 6 months, after waiting on the government which could take years or never to fund the repairs ZSF is stepping in to get kids back in a sheltered classroom as students simply can't study during the current rainy season without a roof. Thanks sponsors!

Mr Chilanda Twamono one of our ZSF sponsored teachers travels daily to and from work for 3 miles each way through water during raining season

We truly are helping educate those that would have no teachers if it wasn't for you sponsors. Thanks!!

Help me congratulate all my 53 pupils who have cleared and are officially going in form 1.

I took this class in 2024 just after coming back from Chikulu, thy became my family from grade 6 till grade 7 and all passed.

Helping the school coming from 41% passing to 100%.

This was possible because Zambia scholarship sent a teacher (Prosper) thereby helping the school having enough staff members. your donations to improve the lives of a Zambian child truly are not a waste as I happen to be the product of your donations from secondary school till date. Hence, I know how important your donations means to someone out there... thank you.

🩵 THANK YOU, Valley View Elementary! 🇺🇸➡️🇿🇲

This sweet “thank you” comes from a student at Henry Capata School in the Cosama area of Zambia — a school with very limited supplies but HUGE hearts. ❤️

Valley View Elementary raised over $1,000 to support their new sibling schools in Zambia!

✨ $500 has already gone to Henry Kapata School, providing essential school supplies.
✨ The other $500 is on its way to their newest sibling school, Kanyanta Primary School.

Your generosity is making a real difference.
Pencils, notebooks, backpacks — things we take for granted — are now in the hands of kids who truly need them.

From Zambia to Utah:
THANK YOU for spreading kindness, love, and opportunity. 💙📚
