We are beyond thankful for the outpouring of support we have received from our community.

In the short time since launching our “Help Us Build a New Foundation” Capital Campaign, more than $75,000 has already been donated toward our $225,000 goal.@

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear Auxiliary sister, Lorna Hilliard.

Lorna was a dedicated member of the Briggsville American Legion Auxiliary for 55 years, joining our organization in 1971. Throughout those years, she exemplified the values of service, kindness, and friendship that make our Auxiliary so special.

On a personal note from our Auxiliary President, Teresa Morse, I have known Lorna since I was a little girl. Her daughter babysat me, and some of my earliest memories include her warm smile and the laughter that seemed to brighten every room she entered. She was truly one of the kindest people you could ever meet, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her.

Lorna’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and unwavering support for her family, friends, and community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please keep Lorna’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Lorna. Thank you for your many years of service, your friendship, and the joy you brought to so many lives. You will never be forgotten. ❤️
