As we come to a close to 2025, Hand Up is proud to close out the year with the following ways we positively impacted our community.
- donated 3,500 pair of bomba socks to more than 8 local organizations including the Brigantine Elks, Brigantone VFW and Brigantine American Legion, and brigantine sports teams .
- provided winter coats and warm clothing to 5 families in need.
- assisted with toy collection and distribution with True Spirit Coalition at Christmas
- provided gift cards to several families for groceries during SNAP shutdown.
- provided backpacks and back to school supplies to local families.
- donated snacks to local sports teams
-donated snacks to local nursing home
-organized a donation drive for the residents of North Carolina who were affected by last years disaster in partnership with rotary .

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY and please be aware that this clinic consists of a vet, a tech and a volunteer and our prices reflect this. We do not have a receptionist. Emails and inquiries are answered mostly by the tech when she’s not in surgery so please be patient and keep trying to get scheduled if your first attempt isn’t answered immediately. It’s just as easy to send another email as it is to complain that you haven’t been answered😊

We need specific information to get you scheduled and your appointment will be delayed when we have to ask for more information. Please do not send multiple emails within 7 days. This frustrates Dina and you may never get scheduled🤣.

Please put CLINIC and what you are trying to schedule in the subject line (male kitten, 2 female rabbits, 30 pound male dog)

The following information needs to be in the email:

Your full name address and phone number.

The name of your pet(s), their age and s*x and description/color.

The services you would like to schedule for such as cat spay, vaccines and microchip, rabbit neuter, feral cat neuter. We can add services at the time of checkin but the more information we have the better we can serve you.

Green Whales & Greenheads Swim Team Food Drive

From November 1–15, the Green Whale and Greenheads Swim Team are hosting a community food drive to support our neighbors right here in Brigantine.

All donations will go directly to the Brigantine Food Pantry at the Presbyterian Church, helping local families during the holiday season.

What to donate:�Shelf-stable, non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, etc.)

Low-Cost Vaccine Clinics Are Back This August at SJRAS!

We’re thrilled to continue offering our low-cost vaccine clinics—keeping pets in our community protected without placing a financial burden on their families.

📅 Next Clinic: Saturday, August 16 | 9AM – 12PM

🚨 Pre-Registration Is REQUIRED
To streamline check-in and reduce wait times, all guests must pre-register online. A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. This deposit will be applied to your total at the clinic. If you do not show up for your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited.
