South Jersey Cancer Fund 50 Year old Fund Helping people with cancer financially We have no paid employees. Every job is on a volunteer-basis.

Founded in 1964, we are an all volunteer organization from the local community which raises funds to provide financial assistance for cancer patients and their families in Atlantic, Cape May & Cumberland Counties. In 2005 we helped 253 patients and spent over $155,000 for their needs. In 2006 we helped 230 patients and spent over $130,000. In 2007 we helped 289 patients and spent $205,000 on their

care. This is by far the largest number of patients and money spent in our 46 year history. South Jersey Cancer Fund is a totally independent Charity and we are not affiliated with the American Cancer Society or any other charity. South Jersey Cancer Fund is a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore any contributions made to our organization are TAX DEDUCTABLE.

Lt./Secretary Joe Lizza of Company 2; Capt. AJ Berenato, Fire Company 1; and Fire Chief Sean Macri donate a $475 check to The Hammonton Cancer Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Members of both companies bought shirts and donated funds to the project.
