Happy Pride Month from all of us at Bridgton Public Library 🌈

June is a time to celebrate love, identity, and the many ways our community shines. We’re proud to stand in support of LGBTQIA+ voices, stories, and histories, and to offer a welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors.

We also want to highlight the upcoming Denmark, Maine Pride celebration—a joyful community event bringing people together to celebrate inclusivity, connection, and pride right here in our region. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to show your support this month, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather, celebrate, and be in community with others.

However you choose to celebrate Pride Month, we hope you’ll find stories that reflect, affirm, and inspire you here at the library. 🏳️‍🌈

Honoring Memorial Day at Bridgton Public Library

As we reflect on Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. This day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance of the courage and dedication of those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

While many of us mark the long weekend with gatherings and the unofficial start of summer, Memorial Day carries a deeper meaning—an opportunity to reflect on the lives lost and the families forever changed by their service. We honor their memory and express our heartfelt gratitude for their sacrifice.

At Bridgton Public Library, we are grateful to be part of a community that values remembrance and reflection. We encourage patrons to take a moment this Memorial Day to honor those who served, whether through quiet reflection, sharing stories with loved ones, or exploring books that help us better understand our nation’s history and the people who shaped it.

From all of us at the library, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. We will remember. 🇺🇸
