HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY, BROGAN!

Today we’re celebrating one of the most important people behind The Bridgton Kindness Project — the woman who keeps everything moving, makes sure everything gets done, and somehow always finds a way to help one more person. 🥹

Brogan is truly the machine behind TBKP. Her big heart, determination, compassion, and relentless drive to make our town a better place are what help make so much of what we do possible. ❤️

We honestly wouldn’t be able to do all that we do without her. She gives so much of herself to everyone around her, constantly putting other people first and making sure everyone else is taken care of.

So today, we want to turn the tables and make HER feel special! 🥰

Thanksgiving Dinner Box Assistance

The Bridgton Kindness Project will be providing 12 Thanksgiving dinner boxes to local individuals and families in need this holiday season.

Each box will include a variety of shelf-stable foods to help create a Thanksgiving meal, along with a frozen turkey.

Please keep in mind:

• Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive a food box.
• All applications will be reviewed, and we will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible.
• We kindly ask that you only apply if you truly and genuinely need food assistance this Thanksgiving.
• Boxes are limited to 12 recipients.

❤️ We would also like to remind everyone that, in addition to the Thanksgiving dinner boxes, we will be providing freshly cooked Thanksgiving meals in our Community Fridge for those who may need a meal on Thanksgiving.

Our goal is simply to make sure that as many members of our community as possible have access to a warm meal and a little extra kindness this holiday season.

YOU WANNA HEAR SOMETHING CRAZY?!

Our September data is in… and WOW. 😳

4.8 TONS of donations!

You read that right — 4.8 TONS. Between storage units that have been donated and items dropped into our donation box, we documented nearly FIVE TONS of donations given to the Kindness Project in just ONE month! And some of those donations haven’t even made it out to the community yet. 👀

Anddddd…

815 PEOPLE visited our store in just 30 days!

815! What an incredible number. ❤️

None of this would be possible without the amazing people who donate, volunteer, shop, share our posts, cook meals, and support what we’re doing. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! This community continues to blow us away. 🥹

We also collect data from our security cameras daily, and all footage is reviewed. This helps us keep track of how many people we’re serving and better understand the impact we’re having.

That’s one of our weekly community meals provided after dark — completely FREE.

Just a friendly reminder about the Kindness Project Store!

Unless other arrangements have been made, we ask that you please only pick up items for yourself.

Yesterday, five different people came in hoping to grab “items” for a local mom. We asked everyone to wait because the mom herself was coming in, and we wanted her to choose what she actually needed.

Here’s why: If all five people had taken things for her, she could have ended up with multiples of the same items or things she didn’t need. By waiting, she was able to choose exactly what would help her and her family.

It also helps us keep things fair and sustainable. If everyone came in saying they were picking up for someone else, it would become very difficult to make sure our resources reach the people who truly need them.

❤️ We absolutely WANT to help!

If you know someone who needs assistance, please give us their information. We’re happy to reach out directly and make arrangements. We just need to speak with the person in need or their case worker before providing additional assistance.

Thank you for your incredible support and for making the Kindness Project Store such a success! We truly appreciate this community.

P.S. We've noticed a little flack lately about Brogan not always being physically in the shop. She is there about 90% of the time! The other 10% she is usually on a field trip, doing a learning activity, or spending time with her kids. She does homeschool, and while the Kindness Project is incredibly important, her kids will always come first. ❤️

Our amazing volunteers have Brogan's number and can call or text me whenever they need me. We have a GREAT team, and every single person works incredibly hard — AND WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS! 🥰

We’re all doing our best to make this little project work and serve our community as fairly and compassionately as possible.

The Bridgton Kindness Project will be having a winter gear giveaway! ❤️

Come get whatever you need to stay warm this winter! We’ll have:

● Jackets & coats
● Snow pants
● Winter boots
● Hats
● Mittens & gloves
● And more!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME! There are no requirements to participate. If you need something, come get it—no questions asked.

WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING DONATIONS!

We are especially looking for kids' winter gear—snow pants, boots, jackets, hats, mittens, and anything else to help keep local kids warm this winter.

Would any local hairstylist be willing to donate a haircut to one of our Cozy Grannys? ❤️

She doesn’t have any money until her next Social Security payment comes in, and she could desperately use a haircut.

She is happy to come to you, or if you’re willing to do an in-home visit, we can help coordinate that as well!

If you’re a hairstylist who would be willing to help, please send us a message. We’d love to give this sweet lady a little bit of pampering and help her feel good about herself. 🥰
