MyTown is a non-profit organization seeking to connect the local community to the small businesses, events and hidden treasures of their town. Providing support to local shops and encouraging family friendly events that bring the community together. MyTown is about sparking an urge for discovery within citizens so that they may find everything their town has to offer. MyTown will be creating a new
marketing platform with a community based app designed for the residence to connect them to small businesses and the hidden treasures of their town. Small businesses have been failing due to lack of exposure and we need to act in creating a marketing platform geared to specifically helping small businesses. For every citizen there are thousands of small businesses in your town with events, sale and news everyday; most of which you have never seen. MyTown will provided you the tools for exploring all the small things about your town while also supporting local businesses and become an instant local at the push of a button. Please help in our efforts to bring this idea to life with your support. I am college student with a dream and a vision. Boredom is often an issue for the average person, people want to see something new and experience new things. This is why I designed the MyTown app because if you are someone who wants to discover, every town has plenty to be discovered. I want the ability to turn every new town incomer into a knowledgeable local at the palm of their hand. Everything you could want and know about your know will be available with my future app. Learning about your community is important because it's not just any town, it's MyTown.
