We're excited to invite you to a special evening at Alba Quincy's Roof Deck, one of the South Shore's premier dining destinations, as we raise funds for our 2026 Falmouth Road Race Team and awareness for a cause that continues to make a difference.

The K9 Kitt Foundation's Falmouth Road Race Team is running for more than just the finish line—we're running to honor the legacy of fallen Braintree Police K9 Kitt and to support K9 teams that put themselves in harm's way every day.

Through your support, the Foundation helps:
🐕 Assist violently injured K9 officers and K9s
🎖️ Provide critical equipment and resources
📚 Support training and educational opportunities
🚔 Raise awareness about the challenges faced by K9 teams and their handlers

Every dollar raised helps our team reach its fundraising goals while advancing the Foundation's mission of supporting and protecting those who serve.

🐾 Honoring the Legacy of K9 Kitt 🐾

On June 6, 2026, athletes from four incredible training communities came together to complete the K9 Kitt Hero WOD, a workout created to honor the life, sacrifice, and legacy of K9 Kitt.

Every part of the workout tells a piece of Kitt’s story:

▪️ 21 Rounds for Time — representing the year 2021�▪️ 6 Deadlifts — honoring the month of June�▪️ 5 Hang Power Cleans — representing the five times Officer Billy Cushing was shot�▪️ 4 Front Squats — honoring the fourth day of June�▪️ 3 Shoulder-to-Overheads — representing the three times K9 Kitt was shot�▪️ 200-Foot Weighted Carry — symbolizing the distance Kitt was carried. The 80-pound weight reflects Kitt’s weight.

Through pledges and donations, participants supported the mission of the K9 Kitt Foundation, ensuring Kitt’s legacy continues to make an impact in the K9 and law enforcement community.

Today marks five years since the loss of Braintree Police K9 Kitt, a loyal partner, protector, and beloved member of our community.

Kitt served with unwavering dedication alongside his handler, Officer Billy Cushing, helping to keep our neighborhoods safe while touching the lives of countless residents. Though Kitt's watch ended far too soon, his impact continues to be felt every day by those who knew him and by a community that has never forgotten him.

The bond between a police officer and his K9 partner is unlike any other. Kitt was more than a police dog—he was a teammate, a guardian, and a trusted friend. While the pain of that loss never truly disappears, our founder and president Billy Cushing has ensured that Kitt's legacy continues to make a difference.

Through the K9 Kitt Foundation, tragedy has been transformed into purpose. The foundation honors Kitt's memory by supporting law enforcement K9 teams, promoting community outreach, assisting charitable causes, and strengthening the connection between police officers and the communities they serve. What began as a tribute to one extraordinary K9 has grown into a lasting force for good.

As we remember Kitt on this fifth anniversary, we also celebrate the legacy he left behind—a legacy of service, loyalty, courage, and unconditional devotion. We thank you all for carrying that legacy forward and ensuring that Kitt's name continues to inspire others.

The direction of a warrior is always forward. K9 Kitt may be gone, but he will never be forgotten as we move forward with our mission in Kitt’s name.

In law enforcement, you meet many people along the way. Some become partners. Some become family. Officer Morena and K9 Izak of the Norwell Police Department trained side by side, worked countless missions together, and shared the bond that only a K9 handler and partner truly understand, alongside Officer Cushing and Kitt.

K9 Izak served with courage, heart, and determination. He was more than a working dog—he was a loyal partner, a trusted protector, and a beloved member of Officer Morena’s family. After a brief illness, Izak passed peacefully with his handler by his side.

Now he runs free across the Rainbow Bridge, standing watch with other fallen K9s, forever guarding those he still loves. A Guardian of the Guardians—always.

Free time now, Izak. Rest easy.

Our Fenway Spartan Team Powered by absolutely crushed it this morning. Early start, a little rain, nothing was stopping us. Our sincere thanks for all of our racers who helped race funds and completed a challenging course all over Fenway Park to help the foundations mission.

Many thanks to Spartan race for allowing our team to start in the VIP Friends and Family event.

Also special thanks to for hosting our after party brunch. The service and hospitality shown to our team was top notch.

We’re already making plans for next year’s race. Stay tuned for more information.
