Somerset County RCE volunteers were recognized by the County Commissioners during National Volunteer Month. On Tuesday, April 22, Commissioner Drake read a proclamation highlighting the 73,657 volunteer service hours recorded in 2024, a value of $2,385,750.20. Rutgers Cooperative Extension would like to extend tremendous gratitude to all our volunteers who continue to make great contributions to our organization, and to the community as a whole.

The Somerset County Rutgers Cooperative Extension volunteers were honored with a Proclamation from the Somerset County Commissioners to celebrate National Volunteer Week.

372 RCE Volunteers provided 114,418.25 hours of volunteer service in 2023, valued at an estimated $3,706,007.10

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers and we appreciate the Somerset County Commissioners recognizing our volunteer’s dedication to the 4-H, ANR, and FCHS Programs.

Due to painting at the 4-H Center today, Friday January 5, 2024, The Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office is closed to the public. Staff are working remotely and can answer phone calls or emails.

A decision regarding the status of the 4-H Center for use by the 4-H clubs tonight will be made later today.

We're Open! 😃

The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Somerset County office is officially reopened to the public as of June 15th, 2021.

We kindly ask that members of the public visiting our office please continue to wear a mask while inside for the safety of both county employees and other visitors. Both RCE in-person events and classes are allowed with health and safety protocols in place. Additionally, we will continue to provide virtual learning and meeting opportunities.
