BREAKING NEWS! 3-time World Cup player, Club América legend, and former Chicago Fire star Cuauhtémoc Blanco made a surprise visit to SeatGeek Stadium today! Blanco is a world-renowned soccer player and considered to be one of the greatest Mexican footballers of all time!

During his visit, Blanco met with Mayor Landek before taking to the World Fair US stage to engage with some fans and answer questions while dropping hints for good things to come to Bridgeview.

The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash Music Festival is coming next week to SeatGeek Stadium on June 20th-22nd. During the festival, expect heavy traffic on Harlem Avenue and Roberts Road throughout the day. To ensure that festival goers do not enter into our neighborhoods the residential gates will be closed, and access for residents will be monitored. 2025 vehicle stickers will be required to pass through the area.

The Village of Bridgeview announces that the World Fair US is bringing a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly celebration to Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium from July 7th through July 28th. Attendees will get to experience cultures from over 80 countries through live music, dance, crafts, cuisine, fashion, and more throughout the 22 action-packed days. The World Fair is a rare and exciting chance to enjoy everything the world has to offer all in one convenient location.

ATTENTION BRIDGEVIEW DRIVERS—The Village of Bridgeview is partnering with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Police, and more than 200 local law enforcement agencies to increase safe driving enforcement efforts across the state in recognition of “Distracted Driving Awareness Month” this April.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, distracted driving claimed the lives of 3,308 Americans in 2022, highlighting that using a cell phone while driving creates enormous potential for deaths and injuries on U.S. roads.

Illinois prevents the usage of handheld electronic communication devices while driving unless using hands-free mode. To keep your attention on the road, remember these tips:

1. If you are expecting a text or need to send one, pull over and park your car in a safe location.
2. Ask your passenger to be your "designated texter."
3. Do not engage in social media scrolling or messaging while driving.
4. Cell phone use is habit-forming. Struggling to not text and drive? Activate your phone's "Do Not Disturb" feature.

The Village of Bridgeview encourages everyone to drive safely and avoid handheld phone use while driving to keep our children, residents, and community safe.
