AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler laid out an ambitious plan for organized labor ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

The AFL-CIO plans to mobilize 16 million union members and family members to vote and train 50,000 election protection volunteers. Shuler also emphasized the federation’s goal of organizing 2 million more workers over the next five years.
