Our Hunkpapa relatives finally arrived from there long travels on horseback. They are all cold, tired, and I'm sure thirsty & hungry, albeit the riders are too! :-)

Coming into Bridger community as we wait for the relatives that left Sitting Bull's camp on horseback to reach this place of rest before meeting up with the rest of the Big Foot memorial riders and making a prayer ride for all the nation. It's a cold and snowy day today.

Spotted Elk (Big Foot) Memeorial riders are pulling into Bridger today. Traveled from Standing Rock and then on the 23rd begin the ride towards Wounded Knee. Praying for our nation and all that we are facing in these days. Keep them in your prayers. Will try to post pictures, I'm on my way down there, traveling1 1/2 hrs to take my contribution of food to feed the riders. :-)

Bridger Community is now going on 12 days without electricity. SD had one of the worst earliest blizzards on record. SD lost thousands of cattle during this blizzard. Almost all of the Black Hills and surround areas lost electrical power for days. But this little community is one of the absolutely last places to get their power turned on. Makes me wonder why? Is it because its on the Cheyenne River reservation? I hate thinking like that but when Howes, a little gas station just 10 miles up the road has had their power restored as well as surrounding ranchers, it makes me wonder?WHY are our community member still waiting for their power to come back on. Luckily the Tribe and others have given to this community to help them during this time. Just wish that Wall Electric would address this issue, SOON!!

Good day today!! Attended the Emerging Ministries Summit at the UCC church in Pierre, SD. One thing I love about our church is that it's OK to ask questions about God, our beliefs and thru that we find our answers. Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open.
