The car is packed, every inch filled with love, intention, and the most beautiful donations… all getting ready for one of our favorite things we do at emme.

Our big drop-offs.

This is where it all comes together.
Where a mama goes from “I’m not ready” to “I’ve got this.”

We walk in with everything she needs…
a safe place for baby to sleep
diapers, wipes, clothes, bottles
little details that matter more than people realize

And we leave her ready.

Ready to welcome her baby
Ready to breathe a little easier
Ready to feel supported, seen, and cared for

This is why we do what we do.

Because of you, we’ve been able to show up for our moms in real, meaningful ways. From cribs and strollers to diapers, clothing, and all the little things in between, your donations have helped make sure moms have what they need as they prepare to welcome their babies or start over with dignity and support.

Sometimes love looks like a tiny big sister who just knows exactly what to do.

In this moment, an 8-year-old girl is holding her 2.5-year-old baby brother, comforting him and loving him until the tears fade away. Somehow, this little girl already understands what so many of us spend a lifetime learning: that sometimes the most powerful thing you can give someone is your presence, your arms, and your love.

This tiny big sister knew exactly what her baby brother needed to feel safe again. And just like that, the sadness started to melt away.

This is the kind of love that grows in families when mothers are supported and children are nurtured. It is gentle. It is instinctive. It is powerful.

At emme, we work every day to make sure moms have the support they need so their children can grow up in homes full of moments like this. Moments where siblings comfort each other, laughter replaces tears, and love is the first response.

Because when we protect moms, we help create families where children learn how to care for one another from the very beginning.

Yesterday, the emme coalition Board of Directors spent the day together for an intensive board training and it was truly such a wonderful experience.

We had the privilege of learning from Eric Phelps of Rainmaker Consulting, who guided us through an incredibly engaging day focused on fundraising, board leadership, and long-term strategy. Eric brought so much energy, insight, and enthusiasm to the room, and he kept us all thinking, learning, and laughing along the way.

Strong organizations are built by strong boards. Yesterday was a reminder that when leaders are willing to keep learning, ask hard questions, and grow together, the mission becomes even more powerful.

A heartfelt thank you to our entire Board of Directors for giving up a Saturday to invest in emme’s future. Your commitment, dedication, and belief in this work is what allows us to keep showing up for moms and babies in our community.

We left inspired, energized, and even more committed to the work ahead.

And of course, thank you again to Eric Phelps and Rainmaker Consulting for such a fantastic day of learning.

Today our CEO, Dr. Paula Garay, had the honor of attending the Health Fair at the Mercy Learning Center and it was nothing short of wonderful.

We connected with more than 100 amazing women, shared resources, answered questions about maternal health, and had real conversations about what families actually need to stay healthy. Safe housing. Nutritious food. Support during pregnancy. Someone in your corner.

It was also so special to share the space with other incredible community partners who are doing this work every single day. When organizations come together, the impact multiplies.

The energy in the room was hopeful, strong, and community driven. This is exactly why emme exists. When women are informed and supported, families thrive.

Thank you to Mercy Learning Center for creating a space where women can access resources, build connections, and feel seen. We are so grateful to be part of it.

Our car was officially in full mama mode today🧸🍼
Packed to the brim with love, essentials, and a whole lot of heart for a mama due next week.

Being at the birth is our favorite part of all of this… but showering our mamas with everything they need is a very close second. 🤍
