Career Resources recently brought together residents, community partners, local leaders, and service providers for a community Block Party at Went Field Park in recognition of Gun Violence Awareness Month. More than a community celebration, the event served as a public kickoff for the City of Bridgeport’s Gun Violence Prevention Initiative, a collaborative effort led by the Mayor’s Office to address the root causes of violence through prevention, intervention, support services, and community engagement. 🧡
