West Fork Amateur Radio Club The West Fork Amateur Radio Club is a group of individuals interested in pursuing and advancing the hobby of Amateur Radio (HAM Radio).

WFARC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. WFARC is a group of individuals interested in pursuing and advancing the hobby of HAM Radio. While most members are from Wise County, Texas, we are open to anyone interested in HAM Radio.

There will be a WFARC VE Amateur Radio test session held from 6:30pm-8:30pm on 10/11/22 at the Wise County Public Safety Fall Festival at the Wise County Fair Grounds in Decatur, TX. Interested parties please email [email protected] to register, or come to the WFARC trailer parked at the Fall Festival. Talk-in on 442.600, pl 131.8. Please see following flyer for details:

During ARRL Field Day 2022 on 06/25-06/26 at the Bridgeport Northwest OHV Park the members of WFARC operated using callsign K5YW in Class 3A, NTX Section, and made 981 radio contacts with 49 states and 6 foreign countries during the contest period of 24 hours. Several vistors dropped by the Hospitality table and public GOTA (Get-On-The-Air) station, and received info on becoming licensed amateur radio operators, and observed the contest stations operating, including CW and FT8 digital modes. All persons are invited to visit the WFARC.Org website for more info about WFARC and how to get involved in amateur radio.
