Connection is more than comfort. It’s care. It’s support. And often, it’s where healing begins.

As humans, we’re wired for connection. Safe, trusted relationships can help regulate our nervous system, ease stress, and remind us that we don’t have to carry everything on our own.

Connection doesn’t have to be complicated. It can look like reaching out to someone you trust. Sitting with a friend. Checking in. Being seen and heard, without pressure or judgment.

Over time, these moments build something powerful. They create a sense of safety, belonging, and resilience that supports our mental and emotional well-being.

If you’re feeling disconnected, know that support is available. You deserve relationships that feel safe, steady, and supportive. Call 203–368–4291 to make an appointment. We can typically get you in within 48 hours.

At LifeBridge, supporting our community starts with supporting the people who care for it every day.

Professional development remains a priority for our clinical team, but so does self-care, connection, and taking time to recharge together. Today, staff gathered for a simple movie break filled with snacks, laughter, and a chance to slow down and enjoy each other’s company.

Creating space for moments like these helps our team reset and recharge so they can continue providing the compassionate, high-quality care our clients and families have come to expect.

Helping the helpers matters.

Strong communities are built through collaboration and shared commitment to care.

We were honored to celebrate the announcement of satellite behavioral health care services at Pediatric Healthcare Associates, PHA, CTs' Trumbull location this June alongside State Senator Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox, State Senator Herron Keyon Gaston, First Selectman Vicki Tesoro, and Representative Sarah Keitt.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, community leaders, healthcare providers, and elected officials gathered in Trumbull to recognize something important: mental health care is health care.

By embedding LifeBridge behavioral health clinicians directly within pediatric practices, families can access support earlier, more easily, and within the trusted healthcare settings they already know.

Early intervention matters. When children receive care before challenges escalate into crisis, outcomes improve for families, schools, and the broader community.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with Pediatric Healthcare Associates, PHA, CT as we expand integrated behavioral health services across Fairfield County.

On April 30th, we hosted our third annual Symposium, Brain-Body Balance: From Neuroscience to Practice, convening clinicians, educators, and community leaders around a shared focus: nervous system regulation and the role of expressive arts in supporting it.

A key theme throughout the evening was the importance of integrating creative, sensory-based approaches into care. Expressive arts offer accessible, evidence-informed pathways for individuals to process experiences that may not be easily verbalized, while supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and connection.

At LifeBridge Community Services, art therapy is one of the ways we bring this work into practice. Guided by certified art therapists, clients engage in creative processes such as drawing, painting, and sculpting as part of a broader, individualized treatment plan. These approaches can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, while strengthening self-awareness and self-esteem across the lifespan.

As the field continues to evolve, expanding access to diverse, regulation-focused interventions remains essential. We’re grateful to be part of a community committed to this work.

If you’ve been curious about trying something different, this could be a meaningful place to begin.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we were proud to announce the continued expansion of our partnership with Pediatric Healthcare Associates, PHA, CT. Beginning in June, LifeBridge behavioral health clinicians will be embedded directly within PHA’s new Trumbull location, expanding access to integrated mental health support for children and families in the community they already know and trust.

We were honored to recognize this important milestone alongside State Senator Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox, State Senator Herron Keyon Gaston, First Selectwoman Vicki Tesoro, and Representative Sarah Keitt. Their presence reflected a shared commitment to strengthening access to mental health care for children and families in greater Trumbull.

Embedding behavioral health services within pediatric care settings helps families access coordinated, compassionate support earlier and more easily, reducing barriers to care and improving opportunities for early intervention.

This collaboration represents the kind of cross-sector partnership needed to build healthier, more resilient communities, and we’re grateful to continue this work together with Pediatric Healthcare Associates.
