HER TIME WATERBURY

September 23, 2026 was such a meaningful and empowering night at Her Time Waterbury!

Our theme for the evening was:

“Rewriting Her Story: You Are More Than Your Past”

Together, we explored how holding onto past experiences can sometimes keep us from fully embracing who we are today and who we are becoming.

Through an interactive history session, meaningful conversation, laughter, and reflection, we talked about how our experiences can shape the way we think, respond, and see ourselves. More importantly, we explored how we can challenge old patterns, change the narrative, and begin creating something new.

One of the most powerful moments of the night was our PAST TO FUTURE activity.

Each woman had the opportunity to acknowledge something from her past, physically leave it behind, and then take a step toward the future she wants to create.

It was a beautiful evening filled with connection, vulnerability, encouragement, reflection, and plenty of laughter.

We left reminded of one powerful truth:

Our past may be part of our story, but it does not have to be the author of our future.

25 FABULOUS QUEENS showed up for Her Time Stamford on Wednesday, September 9, and once again proved what happens when women come together with purpose.

This month’s theme, “Rewriting Her Story: You Are More Than Your Past,” created space for honest conversation, growth, connection, and the reminder that where we have been does not determine where we are going.

Victoria Asfalg and Abi Dresser from Open Communities Alliance joined us and shared important information on Housing Vouchers 101, voucher mobility, housing equality in Connecticut, OCA research findings, and ways women can become more informed and involved.

We were also honored to welcome BL Shirelle and Lori LeDonne, who shared the powerful story behind the documentary 9th & Gasoline and the groundbreaking first album ever created by a woman while incarcerated. The evening became even more meaningful when B. Alexis called from prison and spoke directly with the women of Her Time.

A special thank you to Little Pub in Greenwich for providing another delicious meal and for continuing to support our Her Time family.

Her Time is about women connecting, learning, sharing resources, supporting one another, and building stronger communities together.

When Queens come together, powerful things happen.

The next Her Time Stamford will be October 14th.
