🌟 Two weeks later, and we're still feeling the incredible energy from the Next250 Town Hall!

On March 18, our President joined an amazing gathering at the Lyceum Center in Hartford—a powerful celebration of community, creativity, and collective voice.

From Dr. Justis Lopez (DJ Dr. Faro) setting the perfect sonic atmosphere to Joey Batts and Hip Hop for the Homeless creating a beautiful community mural that captured our voices, this event was truly special.

We were honored to witness performances including Khaiim the RapOet and the brilliant youth of Hartford's Proud Drill, Drum, and Dance Corp!

Thank you to everyone who made this town hall possible. Together, we're building something powerful. 💙

On Thursday, January 8th, 2026, our president, John Ntonta Ntonta, joined a virtual focus group with Deputy Secretary of the State Jennifer D. Barahona and community leaders to discuss the Civically Engaged Organization Pledge Toolkit. This toolkit helps organizations like Kadiwaku Foundation USA support the communities we care about.

For immigrants and refugees, being civically engaged is crucial — voting gives them a voice in shaping policies that affect their families and communities. Strong communities happen when everyone’s voice counts — so if you’re eligible to vote in Connecticut, take a moment to register or update your info at MyVote.CT.gov.

Let’s make our voices heard!
