One of the Park City students, Ruth A, shared a little bit about her experience in the program and how it has helped her:

"For the past month of me being in RYASAP I've learned to take initiative of my future. I've learned to ask for help when I need it and with the help of Jeremy and Armando doors have been open to several resources and opportunities. In the beginning I had no idea what this program was about but I came to the meeting because I heard that they could get me a job and it seems exciting. For the past year I had been struggling to find something that peeked my interest. And because I was soon running out of money and felt like I was becoming less and less independent I started looking for jobs that were basic and offered a decent pay. I applied to several but never heard back from them or got rejected to the ones I liked. I assumed it was because of the lack of experience but then I came to realize that it had more to do with having connections with people. It was kind of upsetting that because of this pandemic I wasn't able to socialize and get to know new people that could help me with my goals and aspirations. Also because of switching schools in junior year I felt like I wasn't connected to either school I had gone to so I never reached out for help. RYASAP is so unique and I'm so glad to have seized this opportunity to work with them and I want to keep reaching out to as many youths as possible. So that they can continue learning and gaining skills that can lead them to success in the future."
