At Global Friendships, we provide an exciting international experience for both host families and foreign students and teachers. Our programs are designed to immerse a foreign student into an American family, providing the incomparable opportunity to experience America through daily activities in the home and in the community. A series of visits and excursions are planned to broaden the visitors e

xposure to American culture and to local sights. Together, we can help a foreign student to discover "The American Way of Life." Global Friendships ensures that every student gets America's best—warmth, generosity and hospitality. In addition, we provide a unique opportunity to learn about the people and culture of another county.

Unfortunately, due to the present circumstances we have been unable to bring students to the states during this summer/fall. Our families miss the students and so do we. Nothing is the same without being able to share our culture with students who might not have otherwise had the opportunity to live with an American family for a short time. We will be back as soon as we are able to. For now we are on hold. Host Families, please know that we (myself and the coordinators) miss all of you. Yes, we even miss the little bumps in the road. Hopefully we will see you all in 2021. Don't forget us!!!!

In the meantime, if you have questions or just want to be inquisitive about what we do, feel free to contact me.

Okay.. this is not my responsibility.. but it tugs at my heart and my passion in life. There are 6 boys from Spain who are all packed and ready to start a new school year in the USA. The problem??? These 6 boys are still in need of a host family for the school year. Won't you please help spread the word in order to help make their dreams become a reality and not crushed to pieces!!!! Thank you!!!!!

Part-time

Global Friendships is seeking individuals, 25 and over, in the area of Salisbury, MD, who are outgoing, responsible and capable of contacting local organizations, service clubs, schools and churches in order to locate host families for 15 students from Spain or France (ages 14-17) who will be visiting the area for 28 days during the month of July OR August. The purpose of their stay is to live with an American host family for a cultural exchange. Can you imagine working at a job where you will meet people in your community that will enhance and broaden your circle of friends? That's one of the things that happens when you become a student exchange coordinator.

Host families come from various walks of life , the possibilities are families with small children, single parents, young couples, older couples, couples with no children and yes even families where both adults work. Training Session will be held where you will be introduced to the other coordinators in the MD/DE area, some of whom have been with Global Friendships for 8-10 years.

Another thought, wouldn't you like to earn extra cash??? Maybe pay off those credit cards, make those home improvements, or take that vacation you've been dreaming about. That's just one more thing that can happen when you become a student exchange coordinator. How about making a difference in the life of an exchange student and/or their host family. Yes, just another one of the benefits of becoming a student exchange coordinator. Imagine all of this and having a great time making money!!!! If the above describes you, it's you we are looking for!
