Angelight Films

Angelight Films Angelight Films. Where kids shine bright. The director and cinematographer then work together to bring the child's story to life.

Angelight Films gives children with brain and spinal cord tumors the opportunity to express themselves by creating and even starring in their own short film. Each production is guided by a core team of talented, professional filmmakers, beginning with the director/producer who works closely with the child to transform his or her ideas into a script. When the film shooting is complete, Angelight co

llaborates with renowned editors to finish the project. With a touch of post-production magic, Angelight turns the children's movies into cinematic masterpieces. Upon completion, the child receives his or her very own copy of the professionally finished film to share with family and friends. These inspired, creative films are forever a reminder of how the spirit of childhood triumphs over everything.

As many of you know, I founded Angelight Films in honor of my sister Ilana who died from a brain tumor when we were kids. Her love and light continues to be carried forward through the remarkable children like Madison that I have the honor to make a film with. Since we have not had a fundraiser recently, please consider making a donation so that we can produce Madison's Angelight Movie! You will be inspired, I know I already am after our last meeting! Everyone who donates will receive a special thanks in the film credits too!

Madison's Angelight Film needs your support! Help make Madison's dream film a reality! She is a very brave 10-year-old girl, living with the ongoing challenges from her brain tumor. Madison's Angelight film is a creative outlet for her to express herself and for the rest of us to get a glimpse into

💙 Meet Stephanie Angel, CBTF’s new Bereaved Sibling Coordinator.

Stephanie brings her deep compassion and personal experience to CBTF’s monthly Bereaved Sibling Support Groups—a virtual space where siblings can share memories, explore their grief, and honor the lives of their brothers and sisters with others who truly understand.

Stephanie’s journey with CBTF began when she was just 7, after losing her 5-year-old sister, Ilana, to a brain tumor. At a time when few support systems existed for families like hers, Stephanie’s family helped found the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation in 1988. Her hope now is to provide the kind of sibling-to-sibling connection she once needed.

Alongside her work with CBTF, Stephanie is a certified hospice volunteer and the founder of Angelight Films, a nonprofit that empowers children with brain and spinal cord tumors to create and star in their own short films.

In her words:
“The loss and pain of losing a sibling never goes away but when we allow ourselves to feel all of it fully,
the pain does lessen with time and we can find ways to honor our siblings light.”

🗓️ Next Group: April 27 | 3 PM ET / 12 PM PT
