Today was our first installation of officers for our St. Vincent de Paul Junior Society Church of the Visitation Conference. We are blessed with teens who follow Jesus’ call to love our neighbor, to serve others and to grow closer to Him. Be the face of Christ, see the face of Christ. St. Vincent de Paul pray for us.

Our SVDP Juniors and Mini Vinnies joined the beautiful residents at Brandywine Assisted Living at the Gabels for our first Game Night. The conversation, smiles, laughter and pure joy was priceless. One group played Uno and the other Family Fued. All can’t wait for the next game night! Some of the residents don’t have visitors often. Sharing our time with them was a blessing to us and them.

For the first time, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has been included in Forbes' list of the 100 largest charities in the country. Coming in at #75, we also received high marks for charitable commitment and fundraising efficiency.

National President John Berry noted, "This recognition is important not because of the fact that we get to brag about how big we are, but rather because it acknowledges the enormity of the work we are doing serving His people in need. It is a reflection on the hundreds of thousands of hours of dedicated service of our Vincentians across this country. And it celebrates the generosity and support of our donors and supporters who provide us the resources we need to serve."
