Ron Jankowski Memorial Fund Ron Jankowski was an active member in the Briarcliff Manor community. He played hockey just like he played life – with enduring commitment and integrity.

He was a firefighter in the Scarborough Engine Company (92 Engine), played hockey every Tuesday night at the Harvey School and a Briarcliff Little League coach. On February 10, 2009, Ron lost his life after suffering a heart attack while doing what he loved best – playing hockey. He was a committed husband, father, friend to everyone he met whether you knew him a day or a decade. Perhaps no one un

derstands this better than the countless young firefighters he mentored. He took them under his wing, taught them the ropes and built up their confidence in an atmosphere of respect. Ron’s memory lives on in their hearts and the hearts of all whose lives have been touched by his generous spirit. With this in mind, the Scarborough Engine Company established a fund that would further Ron’s legacy of making a difference, particularly in the lives of young people.
