This year's Legacy Lecture was challenging and inspiring! Coastal Alabama Historical Society president David George welcomed guests and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Chancery then introduced this year's speaker. Coach Jamie Riggs shared about people who influenced him and taught him life lessons along the way. Through his personal experience, Riggs taught our students about success beyond field, challenging the audience to tackle difficult tasks. He admonished the students and guests to create a positive and realistic self-image through hard work. At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Don Sales, co-sponsor of the Coastal Alabama Historical Society, presented three scholarships on behalf of the Escambia County Historical Society, our partners in history education and wonderful sponsors of our student organization. Congratulations to Summer Bondurant, David George, and Samuel Harris!

We are all set up and ready to go for tomorrow's Legacy Lecture! Join us at 12:30 Wednesday in the Neal Auditorium!
