Brewster Special Education PTA

Brewster Special Education PTA What is SEPTA? The term 'special needs' refers to any student in the BCSD community who receives support services for any number of qualifying factors.

SEPTA is a branch of the New York State Parent Teacher Association that is devoted to providing support and resources for parents and families of students with special needs. Examples of services include: speech, occupational, and physical therapy; individual and group counseling; autism support; and support for students with learning disabilities. Who can participate in SEPTA? SEPTA is open to AL

L families in the school community with an interest in students who may face challenges in the home and/or school environment. SEPTA provides an opportunity for parents to discuss common issues, ideas, and goals with other parents, teachers, and administrators. As parent/guardian advocates, we can ensure that each child receives the best possible program so that each can reach their full potential and succeed. When are SEPTA meeting and what are the topics? SEPTA is here to collaborate with speakers on teaching parents through free meetings and/or seminars provided in the school district. Our goal is to offer you resources and support on topics that are relevant to your family. Topics will vary according to parent interest. Meetings are held throughout the year in both the morning and evening to accommodate different schedules. Please refer to the school calendar, SEPTA newsletters, and our page to stay up to date on events. How can I participate in SEPTA? SEPTA is always looking for support! Please see our contact page for more information.
