Meet Amanda Green of Transylvania County!

She and her family operate their family farm growing fish, hay, corn, and pigs. She serves as the general office manager of their operation.

In addition to her work on the farm, Amanda is an active leader in her community—serving on her county Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and as a member of Little River Community Center 4-H.

What inspires or motivates you in your community or professional life?
-Faith, Family, Farming – Advocate, Cultivate, Empower!
We are proud to highlight Amanda as part of the International Year of the Woman Farmer and celebrate her dedication to agriculture and leadership across North Carolina!

The Transylvania County Farm Bureau Board would like to congratulate members Chris and Sarah(Rhymer) Clayton on their successful completion and graduation from the NC Farm Bureau L.E.A.D. Program. L.E.A.D is a comprehensive, 2 year program that teaches individuals to be informed and well spoken Advocates for Agriculture. We look forward to all the great things they will do! Well Done!
