Dress a Girl Around the World-Precious Threads Imagine a world where every girl owned at least one dress. We deliver dresses & hope to girls in need & at risk around the world. We would love to help you.

We sew sturdy dresses from new, beautifully colored cotton for "at risk" girls and women for distribution by missionaries across 82 countries as well as many communities in the US. We are a volunteer non-denominational Christian based organization under "Hope for Women International". We meet in living rooms, backyards, schools and churches. We are constantly working together on putting out God's

best dress, as this will be the only gift most of these girls will ever receive. We believe that every girl deserves the dignity of owning at least one dress. By providing a new dress you may well be changing a young girls destiny. Village Pastors tell us that a girl wearing a new dress presents an appearance that she is well cared for and may discourage would-be predators. We attach our label on the outside of each dress sending an additional message that each girl is under the care of an organization, giving her added protection from those who would harm her. Imagine kneeling before a little girl in Uganda or the Appalachians. You are holding a beautiful new dress-made by you. You tell her "I made this dress just for you because you are precious to me and to God". Imagine as you drop the dress over her head that the shame she feels is dropping away. She lifts her chin toward the heavens- allowing her to stand tall. You have just made a difference in someones life. If you don't sew there are still ways to get involved. We need people to cut, iron, package and provide fabrics, lace and thread. Go around the world with us as we hand deliver dresses to girls in need and show then that they are loved. A financial gift enables us to ship dresses to groups who will hand carry them to other counties. If you are a missionary or organization that wishes to distribute some dresses please contact us.

I was packing dresses today for the next shipment going out and I just couldn't stop smiling as I came across all the love making these dresses! Beautiful stitches! Beautiful pockets! Beautiful people! What a joy it is to serve the Lord in this way. 💜

We had another wonderful time together Saturday sewing dresses for little girls that wouldn't otherwise have one! I can't believe its been 10 years since we launched Precious Threads, the Brentwood chapter of Dress a Girl Around the World. Over 12,000 dresses made by hand and with so much love. Its just amazing what God will do when we SHOW UP!!!

It’s a wrap! I attended the Antioch group of Dress a Girl Around the World, Delta Sowers', last sew fest yesterday. This group taught and mentored me for well over a year when I first started with Dress a Girl back in 2014, before launching Precious Threads in 2016. They have worked hard and brought joy and beautiful dresses to little girls all over the world since 2012+. While that season has ended for them, it may continue for some of them as they join the Brentwood chapter in continuing the mission. So much love for these ladies.💕 Job well done!

We had another wonderful sew fest at Golden Hills Community Church Saturday. We even got to teach a 9 year old! Our future sewist! Don't miss our next one on November 1! Last one of the year. We had a heart filled💓 and fun time of fellowship and sewing.
